My exams are nearly over which means time to relax and more time to read! I'm still on my guilty pleasure/easy-reading-break-from-heavy-literature-books and have just finished reading Double Dare by Rhonda Nelson.
The book gripped me from the beginning as it starts with the main character, Lou, running out of her own wedding and jilting her husband. She then stumbles into a tour guide firm where she meets Sam. Yes, it is obvious that these two have chemistry but as the book develops, all is not what it seems and the temptation from the two almost proves too much for them to bear.
It was a proper girly, cheesy book - but was also fun to read! A recommendation for sure.

Pink
The bubblegum expands when I blow into it, making the thickness of it decrease and the colour become lighter. It grows under my nose so much that I am looking over it like a mountain and through it like a pink window - making everything on the other side appear with a candyfloss glow.I keep it like that until I can no more and it deflates just like a lead balloon - fast and messy.

The Hand
The engraved words of "I Love You" mark our bands
The promises of forever and eternity ring in our ears
The friendship we share glistens through
Our hands and the metal rings that wrap around them are a symbol of our marriage and the life we live together

What am I reading?
So, it's fair to say that I love reading as much as I love writing (maybe more sometimes when I have writers block) as I believe that reading has helped be moulded me into the type of writer that I am. I've always loved litreture but since taking it up in sixthform, my passion for it has developed so much more and I love the classics. I love poetry, Shakespeare and as geeky as it sounds, I just love words and the way that they can be made into something so beautiful, just by the way you form them into a sentence!
Anyway, I have been reading a lot of heavy litreture books lately for my exams and coursework as well as in my own time to challenge myself and I always believe that after reading a contemporary novel, it's nice to have a 'easy read' as this is perfect for relaxing!
I'm currently reading 'Mad About the Boy' which is the latest installment in the Bridget Jones series.
it's a lovely, warmhearted and humorous read, also with some parts that tug at the heart strings. This is my first time reading a Briget Jones book as it was a present from my dads fiancé, but I am really enjoying it!
Bridget is now in her 50's, and following the loss of her Mr Darcy, she struggles to balance a new social life, work and single parenting as well as being dropped into the 21st century with the new arrival of twitter and internet dating. A definite recommendation for anyone who loves Bridget and her diary full of resolutions that she never really sticks to..

Obsessive
It was an ordinary day, with the ordinary train commute and the ordinary boring office job. The door to the lift would ring at exactly 8:30 to reveal the slim, but not toned, David who would work non stop every day until 1 O'Clock on the dot. Allowing himself an hour for lunch.
His colleagues would be fascinated at the way someone could live their life so organised without ever having a hiccup. His whole life could be crumbling around him and he would still use that same bloody blue pen.
On the train, David would have the same seat, day in, day out. He'd stand at the same point on the platform so that the door to carriage B would stop directly in front of him, as if he had marked the concrete to ensure it would be the same spot every day. But of course, he hadn't.

The Red Buttton
I walked around looking for her. I considered saving her profile picture onto my phone, but even I knew, that was just creepy. I had no idea how long she was going to be and that's when my eyes fell onto the red button that everyone was staring at.
I pushed it. Mainly as something to do as no one else was doing it. A man dropped from the building behind me and then everything went black.

Sunny
Sunny is mum smiling on a summers day
Sunny is walking along the beach with her
Sunny is sitting on the blue chairs in the hospital
Sunny is smiling through tears
Sunny is empty promises and hushes all around
Sunny is being "fine"
Sunny is explaining to my sister why mummy can now be under the sun all the time
Sunny is grief
